Education

ASA offers unbeatable management education and technical training opportunities to enhance your business credibility.

Through ASA's relationships, partnerships and annual education events, shop owners, technicians and students find the education and training they need to keep a successful shop running in today's ever-changing business environment and to stay current with the advancements of automotive technology.

In 2010, the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) and the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) offered more than 80 educational conference sessions, in addition to offering events facilitated by I-CAR, ASE and PCI.

Just since 2004, more than 85,000 hours of instruction have been delivered to collision and mechanical service and repair professionals through ASA events. More than 300 vendors, many of them small businesses, have sold products from the show floor at NACE and CARS, and to some, it is the difference between the red and the black on their balance sheet.

ASA's trade shows, which is where the majority of ASA's educational events take place, have also made available approximately $2.5 million in floor space, meeting rooms, hotel rooms and logistical support to our industry's nonprofit organizations such as I-CAR, NABC, CIC, AMI and WIN, as well as supported legislative action in Washington, D.C., on behalf of repairers. These resources benefit all of us who work hard to make our businesses profitable and our industry great.

ASA plans to continue its focus on education and training opportunities for members. When you combine the efforts of the national office with those of ASA's affiliated associations, ASA brings more education to independent shops owners than any other association of its kind.
